ABOUT
Future Legends Sports Complex is a premium multi-sport complex located in Windsor, CO. As creative lead and designer, I was tasked with designing the first-ever website for the organization following the founding of the complex and creation of the brand identity. The website needed to act as a hub to showcase what was to come down the line at the complex and future-proof the site.

PROJECT GOAL
Develop and launch the inaugural website for Future Legends, following the establishment of the organization and the creation of its distinct brand identity. The website must act as a central hub showcasing the complex's unique offerings, engage and captivate users, and generate buzz for the complex.

UNIQUE PROJECT CONSIDERATIONS

1. Launching the website before the complex's completion: With the physical complex under construction, we needed to create a website that would generate excitement and anticipation while conveying the organization's vision and values.
2. Designing and building out features for future use: The website had to include features such as calendars, tournament and event pages, and a blog section, even though these elements would not be launched for another year.
3. Focusing on lead generation: The website needed to include user-friendly forms for gathering leads, helping to create buzz and build a following for the complex before its official opening.

PROCESS
To address these unique considerations, we employed the following approach:

1. Leverage strong visuals and storytelling: We used captivating visuals, including architectural renderings and promotional videos, to showcase the future complex. Engaging storytelling techniques were employed to convey Future Legends' vision and potential.
2. Implementing placeholder features with a clear timeline: We designed the calendars, tournament and event pages, and blog sections as placeholders with an indication of their future launch dates, keeping users informed and excited about upcoming offerings.
3. Optimizing lead generation forms: We strategically placed lead generation forms throughout the website, using clear calls-to-action and visually appealing design to encourage user engagement.
   

RESULTS
The Future Legends Sports Complex website effectively generated anticipation and excitement while the physical complex was still under construction. The combination of strong visuals, engaging storytelling, and user-friendly lead generation forms helped to build a following and create buzz around the complex.

The website also played a role in attracting high-profile clubs like the Northern Colorado Owlz and the Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC, cementing Future Legends' reputation as a premier sports facility. By addressing the unique project considerations and focusing on the user experience, the website successfully established Future Legends as a leading player in the sports and hospitality industry.
